Wow, it's been a while since I last updated this blog. I guess it may be due to Facebook and keeping up with that. Anyway, this year for Christmas, Nellysa came home from BSU, and Clancy & Julie drove up from SC. Levi & Shakeara were planning on coming out, but Shakeara ended up in the hospital in SLC and they ended up post-poning thier trip out here.
This year Kelby and Kirk went to help put up lights at the Washington DC Temple. Our youth do this every year and love it. I was also fortunate to get to help decorate the Annaplis Stake tree in the Visitor's Center. Everything looked so nice. We loved it!
On New Year's Day, we had tickets to go to the Ice display of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". It was at the Galord Resort at the National Harbor in Washington DC.
This tree was just outside the ice display. It is made completely of Peeps. Pretty Cool!
The ICE display was sculpted from over 5,000 blocks of ice weighing 2 million pounds. The 40 artisans were brought in from Harbin, China in mid-October to carve the display.
We were issued parka's because it is a constant 9 degrees inside.
Almost a smile from Kirk.
Taking the short door.
Ice Nativity
There was also an ice slide in the display. Kirk and Nellysa were party poopers and wouldn't go down the slide, but Kelby and I had a great time sliding on the ice!
