My parents recently visited from Idaho.
The first time they came to visit after we moved here, we took them to get Krispy Kreme Donuts. My Dad was hooked!
He knows what the "HOT NOW" sign means when it lit. If it's not lit, they are stale (according to my Dad).
We usually make a "doughnut run" on the way home from the airport, at least once during the visit, and on the way back to the airport. It's tradition!

What, they don't have donuts in Idaho? They are in the land of potatoes and spudnuts are the best!
That is one thing I miss living out here in the sticks. My Dad is a Krispy Kreme junkie as well and has taught my somewhat isolated backward kids all about the "hot now" sign. Oh man we need to go to Portland again.
