Kirk & I were fortunate to get away together and go to the Outer Banks, NC.
We went to Mantio and walked along the waterfront. Above is the Mantio Light.
We drove down to the Bodie Island Lighthouse and arrived at dusk. The lighting was just perfect. It was perfect sweatshirt weather.
Sunset across the sound. The lighthouse is behind me in this picture and the ocean is behind the lighthouse. The Outer Banks is a strip of sand between the ocean and sound.
This is the morning view of the ocean from our motel room.
This is the Hatteras Lighthouse. It is one of my favorites. It was starting to rain when we got down there, but it was still a nice drive.
