Nellysa has passed a big milestone....

She got her learner's permit for driving!
Now, she has been through the classroom portion of Driver's Ed, but the behind the wheel experience is all done with a parents. Oh, wait ... one parent conveniently transferred to Washington DC. This same parent had to conveniently go out to sea when the boys got their permits. I am starting to wonder about this. I think there will be a few weekends devoted to Father/Daughter bonding while driving on weekends.
Nellysa wouldn't let me show you the picture on her permit. Let's just say "true mug shot".
This package showed up on my doorstep this morning. Just in time!!
How did the Driver's Ed Fairy know what this Mom needed? (I still need the "oh crud" handles for the van -- until then, I will just have to eat the anxiety medicine like it was candy)PS.. Nellysa was wondering if anybody knows what the correct distance is before you need to dim your lights?
a. 200 feet
b. 300 feet
c. 400 feet
d. 500 feet
Oh, and what button do we push :-)

What, who, where. Nellysa is still 12, right? Man, time flies. Don't know the distance, but in one of our cars the dimmer is on the dash just left of the wheel, the other attached to the turn signal thingy.
Yep, some father daughter bonding in the car. I agree. Maybe the DEF will bring Kirk something as well.
My foster sister from Reno brought her 16 year old son out here a few years ago to practice...and he almost tipped their minivan going around the corner 1 mile from my house. No oncoming car or distractions, he just never had to take a sharp corner before (with out stopping first at a light)
